Those subject to impeachment are listed in Article II, Section 4: “The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”
“All civil officers” clearly includes the errant and contumacious Attorney General and any other underling whom Congress wishes to expel.
There is some dispute whether a member of Congress is included, although it has been done before.

Well then; Laissez les bon temp roulez!
As I posted lass week, the Rehnquist book on impeachments is rally interesting. It covers Chase, Supreme Court Justice, and President Johnson but it also covers the other 18 major impeachments in the country. Each successful removal was related to personal corruption, not what they did in office. It does not cover Clinton because the book came out prior to that impeachment. (It was timely at the time which is why I bought the paperback book. It’s a lot cheaper today on Amazon.)
We may not like it but it seems that if there’s any way to justify a politicians behavior as his right since he was elected is not reason to remove him.
One interesting impeachment is Hastings. Impeached as a judge for criminal activity he went on to become a US Representative from FL.
