Dr. Brantly WALKED Into Emory University Hospital in Atlanta

If they had ebola, we would certainly know about it shortly after the planes wheels stopped.
It’s not like aids in that respect. It overwhelms the immune system very quickly, once it gets rolling..
I think that if it can’t kill more than a couple thousand people in Africa with the populations and culture there, over a time period of decades, then it certainly can’t do much in the US, even if it did get out.
As I see it, frankly speaking, the stuff is nasty but it’s less dangerous to our population then the common flu.
He ***walked** into the hospital. If so, then how “gravely” ill could he be?
never heard of the walking dead?
Yeah, and I suppose it’s protocol to put on a hazmat suit for a case of the runny nose....
While I can’t and don’t intend to try to stop the hyperbole, I can try to make sense of it.
Speaking of dumbassery, how much about treatment of Ebola do you actually know? Did you know that unless the NGOs go out and solicit patients, most of the people just stay home and don't seek treatment. They have their own "medicines" that they think will work (mostly, they don't) They don't know how to make a quaranteened environment. I wonder how many lives he saved before he became infected?
ADMIN MOD, is it ok to just say "douche bag"? not call someone that, just say it.
Yes, I noticed this too. It can be spread airborne, IE coughing, sneezing. Read Clancy’s Executive Order.. Horrifying account and he was a master researcher

lol I bet
This is very scary to me. Can ebola actually be spread by by just a sneeze? If so, I am never leaving home again..nuff said.
It doesn't seem like it, at least from this ebola FAQ.
Thank you for your response.
I was just wondering that if a person is infected with ebola, doesn’t a sneeze emit bodily fluids?
I scare easily.... so gonna go hide now....LOL

Summarized here:

“Growing concerns over ‘in the air’ transmission of Ebola”
The question isn’t is it airborne. The question now is what size of particle does it take to do the trick. And you only need one (1) viron to cause infection.
And read Hot Zone. It’s available in PDF form.
“annoying”
Try “frightening and deadly”. A cold and/or a sore throat is annoying. Athlete’s Foot is annoying. EBOLA is deadly, not even CLOSE to swine flu.
Triage. He already is not acting responsible
Can’t blame them for using a decoy IF (and I stress IF) that is what they did. At least someone is thinking responsibly.
I was being sarcastic in response to what Ansell2 was saying No Problemo with our great health care system to deal with Ebola - I think this is a huge problem and it’s not going to end well. Swine Flu is a very mild flu for most everyone, and our country was put under a National State of Emergency for that one.
You did give the impression that you think allowing this Ebola doctor to come home for treatment for Ebola at the Ebola isolation unit at the hospital, was going to be the big one.
Evidently you think we can keep it out entirely as long as we just don’t allow the Ebola researchers and medicos to treat this American Ebola doctor in an American medical facility.
So you want to send a sick Ebola expert to live or die with our sons and daughters of the Marines, Army, and Navy, and other agencies working and traveling to and from Guantanamo.
That is about the worst thing you could do.
