The other day my wife was in a fabric store and some woman went nuts when she was given a little piece of paper with a number on it. She wasn’t pissed because she had to wait for her number to be called. She was pissed because that little piece of paper was harming the environment.
My wife followed her outside and the woman was driving a huge gas guzzler clunker and had Colorado plates. My wife asked her “Are you from Colorado?”
The woman said “Yes, we just moved her.”
My wife said “You need to get your ass back to Colorado. We don’t want you here. You come in here and try to screw everything up and we Texans are getting sick and tired of it.” The woman was speechless.
Well, I might have handled it differently. (I’m a 7th generation Texan). I would never have told her to get her a$$ back to Colorado—after all, we are known for our friendliness here.
I probably would have told her that if she had a better method for getting the customers in the store waited on in order, that she should mention it to the store manager.
