The House late Friday revived and approved a Republican-authored border crisis bill after GOP leaders hurriedly resolved an internal battle that scuttled the vote a day earlier but with the Senate on recess and the House soon to follow, theres little chance of any bill reaching President Obamas desk until the fall.
The president now is vowing to act unilaterally to address the illegal immigration issue.
The House legislation was approved on a 223-189 vote. The new version of the bill adds additional funding for the National Guard and includes policy changes meant to speed deportations of illegal immigrant children surging across the southern border.
However, a separate Senate bill died on a procedural vote a day earlier, and no more votes in that chamber are scheduled until early September.Even if the Senate were somehow to approve the House bill, Obama vowed Friday he would veto it.
In the absence of any legislation that all sides can agree on, the president threatened to act on his own to address immigration challenges, potentially during the five-week recess.
"I'm going to have to make some tough choices to meet the challenge, with or without Congress," Obama said Friday, speaking to reporters in the White House briefing room.
He later added: "I'm going to have to act alone, because we don't have enough resources."

Screw that, take them to the border and let them get home the same way they got here.
I doubt the hired drug cartels will transport them back home. The L4B regime only ordered these invaders “to” the border. The deals did not include return trips.
LOL....and we should care?
You can keep your liberal republicans. I won't vote for them.
Whine all you like.

When the Senate gets back from it's month-long junket, Harry "the Undertaker" Reid will bury this bill, as he has done with just about anything originating in Congress the past year and a half.
If we are lucky, that will be enough time for:
What will probably happen is that the Lame Stream Media will largely ignore the bill, nObama will issue his E.O., and he and his minions in the press will hammer home to the low information voters that he had to act because of "all the hatin' goin' on" by the Republicans.
Like it or not, the next 3 months could be the most important days in this once great nation's history. If Reid remains in charge of the Senate and/or (God forbid) San Fran Nan takes over as House madame come January, 2015, we all better start learning Russian, Arabic or Chinese, cause you can be damned sure that one of those groups is gonna march right in and finish the job they've been working on full time in the past 5 1/2 years.
You're bluffing. You are a complete coward and will not do it. There is no way you would have the backbone to unilaterally act on immigration because you are afraid of an uprising of the American people who have any sense of values left. We simply do not believe you on anything anymmore.
“If Reid remains in charge of the Senate and/or (God forbid) San Fran Nan takes over as House madame”
The House will stay GOP - whatever THAT means anymore...
I’m curious just how far you have reasoned this out: do you believe Romney would have planned an invasion using ‘children’ and implemented it, to achieve this afrt-in-the-wind amnesty agenda?
And Congress can override a Presidential veto.
Romney is for amnesty. That's the same position as Obama.
You can keep your liberal republicans. I won't vote for them.

No we are not tolerating it; Americans are out there protesting, going after elected officials, and I don’t understand why you think Americans are being passive and complacent about this.
The response exposes something rather sad about your reasoning potentials.
I'm ok with that, but you still aren't getting me to vote for a liberal republican, no matter how much you defend them.
/johnny
Nice try to mischaracterize, but no cigar for you. It is sad that a long-time freeper is incapable of reasoning out the differences in the two idiots, Obama and Romney. I suspect you just purposely ignore so that you can push your meme rather than be rational. An invasion planned by the sitting pResident is an act of treason you should realize Romney would not commit. But you have a different agenda, perhaps secretly wishing to make use of your catastrophe planning.
THE END GAME FOR BOTH IS AMNESTY.
You can put your nuance and analysis of the 'how they get there' where the sun doesn't shine.
The end game is amnesty.
They both want that and will work to achieve it.
No sale. Not voting for liberal republicans.
/johnny
Thanks for proving the point that you lack rational skills of reasoning, and perhaps have a much degenerated value set.
You are picking nits about the method used.
I'm against the basic goal.
You obviously aren't.
Hope you speak spanish.

I am for closing the borders and using shoot-on-site orders to enforce the repulsion of an invasion which is mischaracterized by the media as immigration. What the media and democrips (with republicant enabling) call immigration is and always has been an invasion. It is no different in principle than if I see you have something I want on your property so I just trespass and take it.
As to your boasting you will not vote for a republican who does not have the vast majority of agreement with your positions, we see what taking that approach achieves and it abandons the effort to force the elected republicants to change their service to the oligarchs and work for our goals. Hope you are way far from the grid and have lots of supplies to live off of and very good weaponry to defend your position and tools to bury the starving invaders who will eventually discover your 'assets'.
You continue to fail to realize that the threat to not vote for these republicants is completely and utterly a joke to them. Withholding your vote is not changing the outcome. It is long past that other means of persuasion are needed to change the direction of these traitorous republicants ... like Alexander and Corker who infest Tennessee currently.
I voted for Romney while holding my nose. The economy might be better today but ol’ Mitt is, was, and will always be a RINO so he would have been another George W. Bush but worse.
