“Yes, quantity has a quality all its own.”
It might have been a movie, but I think it was an actual quote regarding the obvious outcome of WWII. Some German said something like “We shoot one of their planes down today. They send 10 more in it’s place tomorrow.”
That quote (Quantity has a quality all of its own) is most often attributed to Joseph Stalin when discussing the poor quality of Russian tanks.
And, frankly, he’s right. If I have 100 tanks, and you have 10, even if yours are superior, I’m likely win, just by sheer numbers. I’ll trade you 5 for 1, and still have half mine left.
