The Obama administration pushed back strongly Monday at a torrent of Israeli criticism over Secretary of State John Kerry's latest bid to secure a cease-fire with Hamas, accusing some in Israel of launching a "misinformation campaign" against the top American diplomat.
"It's simply not the way partners and allies treat each other," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said.
Her comments were echoed by the White House, where National Security Adviser Susan Rice said the U.S. was "dismayed" by mischaracterizations of Kerry's efforts. Israeli media reports have cast Kerry as seeking a cease-fire that is more favorable to Hamas and being dismissive of key Israeli concerns.

In trying to implement the cease-fire over the weekend, "U.S. Secretary of State of State John Kerry ruined everything," wrote columnist Ari Shavit in Monday's Haaretz, Israel's leading liberal newspaper. "Very senior officials in Jerusalem described the proposal that Kerry put on the table as a 'strategic terrorist attack.'"

“Obamas administration is a joke.”
Israel, a former ally, is directly and loudly criticizing Obama and Kerry.
Egypt has been lost as an ally, thanks to Obama.
Libyan rebels overran the Obama-installed regime’s biggest base in Libya today, taking total control of the city.
ISIS is conquering Iraq, making a mockery of everything everyone died for, while exterminating Christians along the way. Meanwhile, it’s RUSSIA riding in to the rescue.
The situation is worsening for the Obama-supported coup in Kiev, absolutely desperate for western intervention and money, if new reports are to be believed.
Not just a joke, but a cruel, cold, incompetent joke.
Israel has not shown the United States "respect". Research the SOS and Israeli relations; keep it simple: just go back thirty years.
Israel is not a "friend" to the United States. Geopolitical interests have crossed frequently in the past 67 years ... and Israel has needed our financial support.
Yeah, King Barry has his mouthpiece say things like this: “partners and allies,” knowing full well the statement is patently false.
See above thread: `Obama was rude and hostile in recent phone conversation with Israeli PM.’
If he were a king I suppose we would just soldier on, but he’s not.
He has used the IRS to punish his enemies. His dog Jarrett plainly stated they would punish the Tea Party, while the GOP doesn’t seem overly concerned.
If someone asks for comment from the WH on something we know to be true, the stock response is a flat denial. Since he isn’t King, why isn’t someone saying at a WH press conference: “Josh, what do you mean `partners and allies’? You guys made PM Netanyahu leave the WH once through the service entrance, past the dumpsters and Hefty bags.”
And the White Hut’s new barker would reply, “The White House has no comment ... except to say, we’re still mad that they were mean to our horse.”
Second week in November, serve Barry’s attorney with the articles of impeachment. Since he isn’t our king.
I thought that was the Dalai Lama?
Must be someone else in the US that’s fuming because it ain’t me nor my hubby.
Obama left Bibi in the Oval Office and told him to sort it out, than told Bibi he was going to go have dinner with his family and would be back later.
Yes, I recall that insult too. 0bama is such a POS.
Kerry is an inept political buffoon that turned traitor to his fellow soldiers that served in Vietnam. He is scum.
I thought the exact same thing
Who’s fuming besides the White House and a few moonbat libs? Most of America realizes that Kerry is an idiot and polls have shown that the majority of Americans believe that Israel has a right to defend itself.
For better or for worse, Bibi has ended the 2-state solution for peace. What replaces it, if anything, remains to be seen.
