Another red line crossed? As AP reports, Obama administration officials were fuming Monday over a torrent of Israeli criticism of Secretary of State John Kerry's latest bid to secure a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas. Israeli media commentators have leveled almost nonstop criticism at Kerry in recent days over his attempts to bring Qatar and Turkey two countries viewed by Israel as strong Hamas supporters into the cease-fire negotiations - "U.S. Secretary of State of State John Kerry ruined everything." The White House is not happy - in unusually harsh language, officials said the criticism of Kerry could put the relationship between the U.S. and Israel in jeopardy. They also said the personal attacks on Kerry crossed a line.
As AP reports,
Obama administration officials were fuming Monday over a torrent of Israeli criticism of Secretary of State John Kerry's latest bid to secure a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas.
In unusually harsh language, officials said the criticism of Kerry could put the relationship between the U.S. and Israel in jeopardy. They also said the personal attacks on Kerry crossed a line and were particularly disappointing at a time of active conflict.
Israeli media commentators have leveled almost nonstop criticism at Kerry in recent days over his attempts to bring Qatar and Turkey two countries viewed by Israel as strong Hamas supporters into the cease-fire negotiations. Kerry was also being accused of abandoning some of Israel's key demands during the negotiations.
In trying to implement the cease-fire over the weekend, "U.S. Secretary of State of State John Kerry ruined everything," wrote columnist Ari Shavit in Monday's Haaretz, Israel's leading liberal newspaper. "Very senior officials in Jerusalem described the proposal that Kerry put on the table as a 'strategic terrorist attack'."
...
U.S. frustration with Israel seeped into the White House's readout of a phone call Sunday between President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The White House said Obama told Netanyahu that the U.S. had "serious and growing concern" about the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza. He also called to an "immediate, unconditional humanitarian cease-fire," according to the White House.
Is there anyone in the world who is not mocking John Kerry?
“immediate, unconditional humanitarian cease-fire,”
Aren’t those the words commonly used for a surrender document?
Which is what Obama..this is part of his “Transformation” that he was talking about..destroying US relations with Israel is what he wants..to totally isolate Israel..Remember, in 2008 Obama got plenty of money from Hamas donated to his campaign..that is something the kiss ass Obama media never reported on
A few weeks ago, Angela Merkel of Germany kicked one of our CIA agents out of her country for spying, and her approval rating is now 71%.
Obama and John Kerry are so unpopular around the world that few countries want to have anything to do with them.
Israel has been no exception, even before the Gaza war
However, because of Benjamin Netanyahu’s compassion, John Kerry has been able to spend most of his time in Israel pretending to be Secretary of State by announcing futile Israeli-Palestinian peace plans.
In contrast, John Kerry’s attempts to meet with other less compassionate heads of state have often ended in humiliation. For example, Vladimir Putin kept John Kerry waiting for three hours before meeting with him in the Kremlin, and Dilma Rousseff of Brazil practically kicked John Kerry out of her country due to the NSA’s spying on her private phone calls.
Yet now we see the thanks Benjamin Netanyahu gets for making Israel a haven where John Kerry could hide from the real world yet still seem to be carrying on with diplomacy.
Where will John Kerry go for the remainder of his term, now that the Israelis have finally had enough of his foolishness and betrayals? If he enjoys his favorite sports like wind-surfing as much as Obama enjoys golfing, maybe he’ll take long vacations away from his job, and the world will be all the better for it.
john “the traitor” skerry should be exiled from America because he is such a clueless pompous ass...exiled to gaza.
Was John Kerry in Vietnam???
(sarc/off)
Wouldht blame them to hit the obamma administration..he is their enemy..we need this treasonous userper removed.the day is soon coming we the people will have to physically remove him or lose our freedom.
I believe the correct saying is “as worthless as tits on a boar.” - coming to you from an octogenarian.
but you are right on!
Kerry was chosen by Obama because of the anti American beliefs he has exhibited since 1971, at least. That’s when I started hating him. My feelings toward him are more intense now.
And the Chinese just raided some microsoft offices in China citing US NSA spy allegations. So the communist tyrants running the US into the ground have even managed to make the Chicoms furious. Looks like a repeat of WWII is in the works when socialist tyrants fought for control.
“officials said the criticism of Kerry could put the relationship between the U.S. and Israel in jeopardy”
First off... FUBO
Secondly, THIS administration has always distanced itself from Israel. Why, in G-d’s name, did ANY American Jews vote for this empty suit, Jew hating, Muslim loving POS. The above statement is only and finally to admit to what THIS administration has always regarded Israel...a thorn in the side!
“He also called to an “immediate, unconditional humanitarian cease-fire,”
Did the POTUS, King Turd the Third, draw a “red line” for Bibi. I wish I could listen to that conversation. Bibi probably tore him a new seat!!
I’m no fan of Kerry. He’s an asshat. However, is there any person from the US that could facilitate this “peace” process to the satisfaction of both sides? Of course not. It’s a lost cause. We just need to back Isreal and contain the savages. Nobody can solve this problem. If Sarah Palin or John Bolton or any other conservative were in charge the results would be the same. Outrage by the Muzzies.
As you said Of course not. Its a lost cause. The problem is Obama, Kerry, Clinton, the other Clinton & probably some GOP names think they will be THE one to solve the Middle East issue.
