The Southwest had a serious drought of ten years through the '40's, and more, and no one even remembers. These people trade in drivel. The only thing in the article I disagree with is the strong implication the drought is the result of human activity. No way! There have been many serious droughts in in the SW, some lasting hundreds of years determined by geological records. This one could be bad -- there's really no way to predict. But all this AGW (Al Gore Warming) nonsense is just that. Climate change is a feature of life on Earth.
