And so it was that on October 31, 2008, after 32 happy years, Harold Vinegar retired from his job as chief scientist at Shell Oil. And barely five weeks later, on December 7, 2008, along with wife Robin and his son, a cartographer in the same business, he made aliya.

Your welcomed. I shared it with friends that have family in Israel and they were amazed. The guy has figured out how to mature a field and it is a huge story that no one sees. I post it to tangentially ask, can that field in Western Ma / CT be matured via his process and can they become somewhat energy self-sufficient. Given the green mentality of those in that area I know I’d say it is a big negative. IMHO they are waiting on magical unicorn farts and don’t get what and where energy comes from and what it takes to make it happen.
