Being a “Good Guy” is not defined by whether or not you “eradicate” your enemy. The common mistake made in the modern era is to place absurd restrictions upon our armed forces.
The enemy will use practically any method or tactic to win. While there may be a few lines it wouldn’t be prudent to “cross”, the ultimate objective should be to pulverize your adversary until they no longer have the will to fight, even if that means in the end you must eradicate your enemy.
To hold back while waging war is the height of folly, especially if you want to look like a “Good Guy”. We have handcuffed our warriors to the point that the enemy now knows they simply have to wait until we grow weary of war and pull back. Once that occurs, our enemy is free to recuperate and rearm.

I'm all for “eradicating the enemy” - that would include all the Hamas leadership, foot soldiers, tunnels, equipment, weapons, suppliers etc. It would NOT include everyday Palestinians...

Israel is being far too moral and precise. This is sue to international pressure, pressures never applied to any other country except Israel. This war could have ended on the first day, (July 8th). The Israeli Air Force could have brought Gaza to it's knees within hours, Putin style but held back. Israel is indeed a very moral, Democracy but she is bound and gagged by her friends in the West, so total victory is postponed. A some point, Israel will ignore Obama (which is kind of what the entire planet is doing) and finish HAMAS off.
