Well...if "6" is (maybe) the symbol for man, then perhaps "666" refers to mans approval of men with men... In other words, the forced acceptance of homosexuality....

Makes as much sense as any other explanations. I wish the Bible was more clear on who it is but I know God has His reasons.

Mine is worse. I can imagine the man of sin halfway through the trib. He goes to the temple mt and slaughters a pig like Antiochus Epiphanes did.

Then be breaks out a rusty nail and scratches “666” on his forehead. In a manner of weeks every muslim in the ME would have done the same thing.
If you were caught without that mark they would chop off your head.
