My rice cooker, not a pressure device, cooks rice in 25 minutes. Why use a pressure cooker?
I pan grill chicken to add to the rice in fifteen minutes in a non-pressure cooker.
Does the hotel even have a kitchenette?
I’m working out of state and staying in a extended stay type hotel. Most “nice” hotels do NOT have a stove top...
Did they even take the pressure cookers inside the hotel? Or were they in their car and the doorman saw them?
I guess you can cook meat and veg with the rice in some rice cookers and pressure cookers, from what others have said. So I guess people would do it for flavour and convenience maybe. The rice cooker I have is just a pot with an ‘on’ switch that heats up and then turns off when the rice is done.

White rice cooks in about 4 minutes in a pressure cooker.
If you have an electric pressure cooker, you don’t need a kitchenette. You just need an outlet to plug it in. If you have a stove top pressure cooker, you could get a portable burner, and then you just need two outlets.
Like I keep saying, I don’t buy their story. I’m just correcting the fallacies that you can’t cook rice in a pressure cooker and you can’t use a pressure cooker in a hotel room. You absolutely can, and it’s not difficult. You’d be amazed how many things you can cook in a pressure cooker. One of my brothers makes a delicious cheese cake in his pressure cooker.
