Reminds me of the old story of the kid who didn’t want to be drafted into the Army. When he got to the induction center he raised a ruckus and told the sergeant that he was gay and shouldn’t be taken. The sergeant walked to the front of the group, dropped his skivvies and said “Come here, young man, and prove it.”
I’ve heard of a commander getting reeeal close to a `queer’ soldier and demanding proof.
“Uh, duh, well ah, sir, I’m uh, I’m not really queer. I just wanted out on a Section 8 discharge (undesirable).”
“Report back to your platoon sergeant, mister. Any more trouble out of you and I’ll start a rumor that you really are queer. You won’t be able to close an eye inside those barracks!”
