As American officials fire off diplomatic salvos at Russia in response to that nations purported actual artillery salvos into Ukraine, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said recently that among other actions, the U.S. military is dusting off decades-old plans, just in case.
Were looking inside our own readiness models to look at things that we havent had to look at for 20 years, frankly, about basing and lines of communication and sea lanes, Gen. Martin Dempsey, Americas top military officer, said at the Aspen Security Forum Thursday evening. What the military does when faced with these crises is our job is preparedness, deterrence and readiness.
In addition to its own plans, Dempsey said the U.S. military is having conversations with our NATO allies about increasing their capability and readiness and that theres a very active ongoing process and debate about how best to provide support to Ukraine.

Nobody sane wants war, but unfortunately, it is inevitable because of the acts of the rabid insane psychopath KGB Putin.

Frankly, Zippy scares me a lot more than Putin does.
Zippy is the greater immediate threat.

That he is. Since homosexuality is so hyped these days, why hasn’t he “come out” or been “outed”?
Joan Rivers called him gay and Michelle a transvestite. LOL

My full agreement insanity reigns supreme on this planet. putin is trouble in the same vain as our zer0. The two of them must have been separated at birth for all the trouble they have caused. My full agreement; Only the insane want war; Regrettably and perhaps it is true that both putin and our zer0 are insane. Both putin and obama appear to riding the same bicycle. Is difficult to tell which is for life allowing life to exist in peace. Both appear to prefer death for their peoples. putin robs his people blind and zer0 wanting to imitate putin has gathered his lot with full conflict, as has putin, to destroy in the same vain as putin. So the time will come, I agree, but is presently the time to wait and watch and not fire the first shot(s). Trusting either putin or obama to not fire the first shot(s) though is not a tree that will bare fruit for both have blood on their hands. putin’s hands are blood red. obama’s hands are also.

Earlier there was an actual AP article about how Russia says there are too many calories in McDonalds food.
LMBO!
I figure that might be the only way to turn the Kardashian crowd into spitting anger at Russia.

Just this past year, CSA Gen Odierno testified before congress that the Army is having difficulty deploying a single combat brigade to full readiness (personnel/training/equipment). The 70s military of Carter is going to look like a juggernaut compared to what Obama is doing to it now.

Not to mention the demoralizing effects Obama has had. Marines left rotting in Mexican jails while deserters run free. Jihadi GIs shoot their fellow soldiers only to be told it’s workplace violence. The homosexualization of our military....

If, and I am saying if, a leader that loves this nation and our Military emerges and becomes our next President not somebody that has no ID but someone that cares about being a true CIC, our Boys and Girls will rally. That is why I too have worries regarding the years till obama is gone. What you say is true but each one of our Boys and Girls volunteered. They each are millions of times more everything than obama could ever be. obama is not fit to shine their boots. I'll leave my trust and pray for the safety and victory for our Boys and Girls. They have never let America down ever before. Don't think they volunteered to let America down in this our present. My opinion Creek.

Our own government doesn't adequately supply our troops deployed in combat. Private charities such as TroopsDirect are attempting to fill the gap. This is how bad it has become.

All the pride in the world isn’t worth a hill of beans if we send our troops to fight a war that isn’t ours and they can’t win. Even our military leadership is questionable these days at best.

It’s good to think that they are not really studying antique plans. But I prefer to learn that they are Fixing rather than Promoting the illegal alien problem. O well.

I fully understand your point Creek and I am prideful of the Men and Women that volunteered to serve. Everything you typed is true. And I will agree that only a person of zer0 character would send our Men and Women to their deaths in an unwinnable war. This is why I pray our Pentagon will sever ties with obama just as our allies have done regarding intelligence. zer0 is a dangerous adversary and am certain our Military understands this fact even though our Military leadership is questionable at best, these days.
