Here are data showing, state-by-state, where the children have been placed, according to the Department of Health and Human Services, the agency responsible for caring for unaccompanied immigrant children. Data are for Jan. 1, 2014 through July 7, 2014.

This first release of information is most likely designed to mislead.

They give the impression that the numbers are smaller than they really are, and that their new voters are pretty evenly spread around.

Later we will probably discover that they are packing selective areas to alter the political balance. Flipping Texas into the Dem column will give them a lock on the electoral college, giving them permanent control of the organs of repression.

I know you didn’t but thanks for those you listed. I now understand the numbers a
little better after looking at the info. This is children that have been placed with
families. The remaining children in the detention centers aren’t included in these
numbers as they are in some form of processing.

Well, there's probably several reasons for it:

1. NM has traditionally been a democrat-voting state.
   (Not that I think there's any difference between the parties.)
2. It has an already high percentage of hispanic people — this can have interesting dynamics (a lot [surprising for the area] of hispanics here don't take too kindly to illegal immigrants [essentially the term hispanic is too broad to capture differences]).
3. There's a high percentage of catholics.
4. Given the prevalence of speaking Spanish for legal/historical reasons [See NM Constitution: Art XII, Sec 8 and Art XX, Sec 12, and Art XIX, Sec 1] a Mexican might be able to blend in and thus not be recorded.
5. NM tends to be overlooked a surprising amount; remember that image of Fast & Furious guns? It was blank for NM because nobody got that data. There was even a somewhat locally-famous case against a family that owned a gun-shop that came about with some very questionable information/informants/investigators.

So, given all of the above I would be unsurprised if both (a) the image under-reports NM, and (b) there's fewer shipped here because One of Our Fifty is Missing.

The reality is these are not kids. Real minor children would be placed with responsible adult sponsors, fosters, or such who would ensure they attended the hearings and were cared for in the interim. Anyone not attending the hearing could be found immediately and the reason they did not show up answered. Because these children are not actually minors, they are being released on their own and knowing they could be deported they are no-shows.

Un-freakin believable. This makes me so sad.

Our gubbamint has passed laws on top of laws to tie the hands of Americans. Career politicians have perfected the art of perverting our founding documents and our system of government.

It's like a gang of thugs walking up to you, spitting in your face and daring you to do something about it, knowing full well a move on your part would mean certain death or serious bodily injury. We stand and take it.

I wonder what’s to stop say Texas from gathering up the Children and renting a tour bus, drive them to Sacramento and just leave them there.
