Kerry’s cease fire proposal was for Israel to immediately cease operations (to include stopping destruction of tunnels) and for the embargo to be lifted on Gaza.
Maybe the Egyptians could organize a once-in-a-lifetime private tour of the Valley of the Kings for Kerry, or some belly dancers, or whatever will keep him occupied while the Men take care of business.
I suspect Israel knows a 10 day “humanitarian” cease fire (hudna) like Kerry proposed would be the end of the action. Basically they need to finish this, they won’t be able to restart operations in the near term. And I can’t help think an unstated objective is to eliminate the southern threat in the event of a strike on Iran.
