Do any of the police involved have to pay with any of their own money?

Of course, as per usual, the taxpayers will pick up the tab.

This was the story where LEOs mistook a blue Toyota pu for a grey Nissan Titan pu in broad daylight.
The two women in the blue pickup got $4 million last year. The had their warning lights on as they crawled down a street delivering newspapers.

Punishment? That’s crazy talk.

I think that all governments should require police officers, at any level of government, to carry “malpractice” insurance just like doctors, nurses, lawyers, etc. A few too many malpractice payouts and the police officer would not be insurable and thusly not employable.

Every one of these gestapo agents belongs on death row, instead they will probably retire early on a disability claim for emotional distress.

This was the story where LEOs mistook a blue Toyota pu for a grey Nissan Titan pu in broad daylight. Understandable. It had 4 tires, a grill and windshields - just like Dorner's vehicle.

Absolutely! It's a standard graphic for the JBT ping list.
I got lazy and didn't search for the actual surfer dude's trunk.
Bad habit. Thanks for calling me on it.

And yet the ‘good’ cops remain silent to what is going on. They want us to support them, but they won’t support us against the thugs, morons, cowards, and criminals among them. They will always choose Team Blue over right and wrong.

Number one, any cop that threw lead in that pickup should have been fired.
It is sad that the tax payers have to pick up the tab for idiot cops, but maybe they should pay more attention to the hiring of idiot cops and who hires them.

Unless it’s the actual officers (and possibly their union) the monies are coming from the taxpayers.

And the officer involved received a free pass from the D.A. saying they considered the totality of the situation and his actions were justified.
