Today, Kremlin officials suggested that the United States has created fake evidence to implicate pro-Russian separatists in the shooting of Malaysia Airline Flight 17.
Anatoly Antonov, deputy defense minister, said that U.S. intelligence did not do diligent research, and instead "mostly cited social networks."
In fact, had U.S. intelligence cited only social networks, they would have been able to confirm the separatists were responsible almost two hours before anyone knew the plane crashed.
Before news of the MH17 crash broke, rebel leader Igor Girkin posted on social media that rebels had shot down a "military transport aircraft."
Instead, it ended up being a commercial airliner. Girkin quickly removed the post.
Russia's ambassador to Britain, Alexander Yakovenko, also said the U.S. has no real evidence.
"Russia doesn't supply weapons to local de facto (separatist) authorities in eastern Ukraine...no evidence whatsoever has been presented that the Russian government has been doing this."
However, a NATO source confirmed to Reuters that they had seen arms being transported from Russia to eastern Ukraine.
The information Russia is denouncing is coming from multiple sources around the world.
The U.S. is even saying that artillery shelling now being directed at Ukraine is being fired by the Russian military from the other side of the border.
While U.S. intelligence has not directly stated Russia is responsible for the shooting, they have been able to link Russia to the missile, and "still believed the separatists were likely to blame."
Additionally, Alexander Khodakovsky, a rebel leader, stated the separatists have a BUK missile system. This missile system is likely what fired the shot that took down MH17.
Alexander Borodai, the self proclaimed prime minister of the Donetsk People's Republic, denied having this system.

As I have said before, these conspiracy theories can be easily put to rest. The longer Obama waits, the worse it is going to get. IF they actually have anything.
I think Putin (KGB) has a lot on Obama and Obama knows it. Obama is scared that Putin is going to spill the beans on him. IMO

The “powers that be”, namely the big money boys, would never raise someone up they couldn’t pull back down. Putin might know what skeletons are in Obama’s closet (along with Obama).
They are put to rest by the outright confession of the separatists on social media, albeit they thought they hit something else, not to mention photographs confirmed of the Buk in Torez and other cities in that area, followed up with another confession that they have them (before he took it back) from some other separatist.

Well tcrlaf has already admitted that the rebels shot down the plane, allbeit “accidentally”.
So perhaps he can tell us the things that led him to that conclusion so early on.
And then perhaps we can convey those things to Anatoly.
I have no illusions that Putin is some sort of God fearing, democracy loving moral leader... I don’t think that is a fair appraisal of the man.
I also have the same misgivings about the current leader of Ukraine. And I also hold our own president in rather low esteem.
I obviously don’t know all the facts concerning the horrific downing of the Malaysian passenger jet, but I would be shocked if it was downed on purpose. The tragedy serves no one, not Russia, not Ukraine and least of all the eastern separatists involved in civil war.
It seems most probable to me that it was shot down by the separatists using a Russian built missile system. It seems probable that Russians may have been in attendance when the horrific deed was done.
I think they thought it was a Ukrainian military jet and a legitimate target of the civil war.
I can’t imagine why the pilot of the Malaysian jetliner was traveling over a hot war zone!? Was he mad? incompetent? or simply a fool following orders? I wish I knew.
In war, terrible things happen. Terrible things happened in our war of independence and our own bloody civil war.
Many would say that outsiders should refrain from meddling or giving assistance to either side in a civil war or a war for separation and independence. Outsiders are generally involved in such wars however. In the case of the conflict raging in Ukraine both the US and Russia have meddled and supported the parties involved. The results for both have been shameful and ignominious.
I hope and pray that events do not spiral out of control for those who have foolishly involved themselves in the Ukrainian war.... We are directly involved and so is Russia.
Both nations have freely decided to inject themselves into this mess...both have unclean hands.
I hope that I am wrong but I feel we are on the precipice of a world war because of our involvement in Ukraine and Syria. I pray God is merciful and helps us find our way out this mess... a mess we are at least partially responsible for.
Given the questionable leadership we are saddled with here in the US I think it is a good time to start worrying and start praying for guidance.
My Pravda comment was not in reference to anything anyone might have on the Obungler. It was directed at the BS the Russians are trying to portray as truth, in reference to the downed airliner.

A "civil war" would require some group of native Ukrainians to be fighting. Every poll that has been taken there, whether nationally or internationally, and the election itself, has shown that the separatists only receive but a minority of support. It's time to call things for what they really are:

There is evidence that more than half of rebel fighters are actually Russian citizens who came to Ukraine — with weaponry that looks suspiciously like that of the Russian military — just to fight.
It has also been proven, beyond a doubt, that the Russkies are shooting from Russian territory (read link).
This is not a civil war. This is a war between Ukraine and Russia, the latter of whom is using terrorism and KGB style propaganda to do it.

They were flying at 33,000 feet. No one can hit them except a state power with those sorts of missiles, and if they have them, then they can tell the difference between a Ukrainian Su-35 which can't reach that height, an an Airline going in the wrong direction, at a much greater rate of speed.
