In the night of July 23 the settlements of Kozhevnya and Krasnaya Zorya were liberated from illegal armed groups. Therefore the goal of taking under control the Check Point Marinovka has been fulfilled. Closer to lunch time the Ukrainian Armed forces also took under control Marinovka and Djakovo. So the first corridor which was formed by terrorists at the end of May (Kuybyshevo-Dmitrovka-Snezhnoye) is now completely controlled by Ukrainian armed forces.
According to the so far unconfirmed information, the National Guard troops captured settlement Blagodarnoye, therefore blocking the connection between Snezhnoye and Amvrosievka and Uspenka. Thus the terrorists’ groupings near location Snezhnoye have been practically blocked. However, as a result of offensive actions of ATO towards Pervomaysk, there was noticed a relocation of militants towards Snezhnoye and Torez. It is worth mentioning that the grouping of terrorists in Snezhnoye can be considered as quite powerful. There is a chance of the militants breakthrough towards Uspenka and Kuybyshevo, aiming to get access to the territory of Russian Federation.
Today the militants have completely left Karlovka and Netaylovo. This fact can be estimated as one more positive point, for in the rear of ATO forces, which moved towards Donetsk and unblocked the local airport, the group of enemy’s forces ceased to exist. The tension has been eased this way. It is most likely related to the ATO forces breakthrough into Uglegorsk region. This fact has strongly advanced the chances of Donetsk militants’ forces total defeat in the closest future. In the city itself street fighting continues, though at the same time the outflow of armed forces was noticed in the direction of Starobeshevskoye.
Fighting continues in the settlement of Gorlovka. So far Gorlovka remains to be the only northbound location where the enemy is still hunkering down. Even though today a motor convoy was noticed leaving via Pantileymonovka towards Makeyevka, most likely Gorlovka is getting ready to be completely liberated and that’s going to happen tomorrow.
Closer to the morning the militants forces relocation took place in the eastbound direction. Terrorists sent their motor convoy form Sakhanovo towards Pervomaysk. Possibly the convoy was heading down to support the gangs of Stakhanov and Lisichansk, but was successfully destroyed in Zolotoy region. Most likely that was the reserve that the militants counted on a lot.
Today in the afternoon the head of pro-russian militants Igor Girkin at his “Kotych forum” announced the loss of connection with one of the field commanders Alexey Mozgovoy. There is a suggestion that Mozgovoy has left for Moscow to get additional instructions as well as ousting from his position the self-appointed governor of Lugansk area Valery Bolotov.
Besides, it is pleasant to admit the successes of ATO forces in Lisichansk. The city has not been yet liberated but the cleaning-up operation works fast and will be finished according to our forecast, tomorrow if otherwise any force majeure takes place.
The ATO forces attack continues towards Lugansk and Lugansk Station from the northern direction, having renewed the fighting towards Olkhovaya. Presently ATO forces have to close another RF supply corridor. Knowing that this is the direct connection between Lugansk and Russia, it is presumed that fighting over this region will be quite violent. It was also observed that militants are grouping on the road of Lugansk-Krasnodon. Therefore we can state the fact, that over the last 3 days the ATO forces have achieved substantial success.
Along with the battlefields, there were successes on the informational territory. In this regards, The Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs has received irrefutable evidences of the RF Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu involvement in arms transfer and coordination of terrorists’ forces on the territory of Ukraine.
Besides, today Ukrainian military forces again shot down Russian “Orlan-10” drone modification. The surveillance system was eliminated nearby Amvrosievka village of Donetsk region.
However besides the victories, some tragedies also took place. The tragic events over the last 24 hours included:
Shooting down of 2 military planes SU-25 of ATO forces today. As it was announced by the speaker of the SNBO information center Andrey Lysenko, the planes were destroyed at the altitude of 5200 meters. According to the preliminary estimation of official sources, the shooting took place from the territory of Russian Federation. The fate of the pilots remains unknown.
Besides, during the battle of liberation Lisichansk died a unit commander, the National Guard colonel Alexandr Radievsky. It is reported that the colonel fell into the terrorists ambush.
Today we received an alarming call from the occupied Crimea. Militants continue to be drafted there in order to be sent to the East of Ukraine and participate in the combat operations. It also became known that the Crimea occupation authorities had started full-scale social assimilation policy of the peninsular population and it continues to be secretly populated by Chechen people and other representatives of the Caucuses area population. It looks like Kremlin decided to pull through the project of assimilation Crimean Tatarian-Muslims with identical Muslims but already loyal to the Russian Empire of oppressed nations.
Another alarming news was also reported from Crimea that Russian military forces transported to the peninsular nuclear warheads for storage, to be stored at 2 former Ukrainian bases. We treat such information very seriously and do not intend to spread panic. but considering the fact that from mid May beginning of July RF already conducted 2 command and staff trainings practicing the scenario of pin-point nuclear attack, anything can be expected. According to the military experts opinion. Such a solid and large scale work on the nuclear was scenarios that is currently carried our by Russia, never happened even during USSR times. Besides in some groups of V. Putin surrounding they seriously consider (and possibly is still being discussed) the alternative of Russian preventive attack on Dnepropetrovsk using low power nuclear weapons. You may be skeptical towards such information but the task is to draw attention to the possibility of such a threat. We do hope that it will remain just an alternative of the diseased imagination of Kremlin elites.

The British newspaper The Daily Telegraph with reference to the spokesman of the British Prime Minister David Cameron announced that major Russian businessmen who has close links to Vladimir Putin hastily began to withdraw their assets from London, fearing a new wave of economic sanctions. Let us recall that after the crash the Malaysian # Boeing 777 the British citizens have called for tough punishment of Russians who are participating in ‘actions threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine’. The British cabinet ministers are reviewing the economic cooperation with Russia, suspending all existing licenses and applications for the supply of arms to Russia, all licenses for dual-use products for the Russian armed forces and the federal agencies, export license transfers to third countries, if there is a risk that the final product will be delivered to Russia and be used against Ukraine. There are some details on the next phase of enhanced sanctions which been negotiated at the meeting of the European Council on July 16. Тhe Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has decided that new investment in Russia is impossible in the near future, but EBRD has no intention of closing the representative office in Russia, and will continue to invest in existing projects. In fact the Bank has implemented the recommended following the results of the Council meeting. The German Chancellor Angela Merkel does not tire of calling Russia to influence the terrorists in Eastern Ukraine, and facilitate international investigations into the disaster. She also declared that Germany supports the #European Union's decision to place additional restrictive measures on Russia. In Russia an urgent special session of the State Duma convened by the Vladimir #Putin was announced. What question will be the key for this meeting is unknown, but Ukraine should be ready to respond quickly to any possible threat.
For the past few days the mourned Ukrainians pay tribute at the Dutch embassy in Kiev. They place candles, wreaths, messages and flowers to commemorate the victims of Malaysia Airlines MH17. On July 23 we join the people of the Netherlands in the National day of mourning which declared in the country for the first time in 50 years….
