It would sure be a damn shame if some of that metal being used was not up to spec...or some of the metal contained defects that were not detected in routine inspection.
Sure would create a lot of problem when that thing got all wound up.

And there are STILL PEOPLE, ON THIS SITE that think China and Russia dropped all new weapons development once the Cold War ended, just because we did.
Well, sorry, those two countries, at a minimum, DID NOT have any intention of freezing our advantage in place and pretty soon we are going to get a bloody nose if we keep acting like cowboys (as people here are calling for with Ukraine), but riding around with slingshots, when they have real guns.
