“You seem to think that those views are shared in Russia, and I’m telling you that they are not.”
I have never said that they are. What I have said, many times, is that Putin is a cold, calculating SOB who has been playing Obama like a cheap violin.
“The 80’s called, they want their foreign policy back!”
Not only have Obama’s endless blunder’s enabled Putin’s gamesmanship, but it has enabled him to do things now that could only have been dreamed of a few years ago, like taking back Crimea.
As I said when this began, Obama’s views are based on Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals”, while Putin’s are based on Machiavelli’s “the Prince”.
“The US has taken a weak but consistent position regarding the Ukraine and you are lobbying against it.”
This goes back much farther than just Ukraine, and that has been my major point, all along. This goes all the way back to Libya, and how Obama lied to Putin about what his intentions were. And then, to Syria....
There is ZERO trust, not just by Putin, but most world leaders now, in anything this administration says or does.
In spite of the fact he is doing a crappy job as president, (there is a reason we test republican candidates foreign policy opinions)The policies generally being executed in the Ukraine and all of Europe are similar to the ones we have had for 60 years. He is just not doing it with any conviction or expertise.
The Ukraine is not about Obama, it's about Russia. It's about Putin, and it's about our strategic interests in keeping Russia bottled up where they need to be.
I am still not sure if you even know why you are advocating for Putin. You don't even seem to know that you are. Reminds me of Occupy Movement. They don't have a clue either. No, I don't think you are a agent or a Communist...lol I think you are just confused.
The world is complicated. Good things are not always good, bad things not always bad and sometimes good becomes bad or bad to good. No blacks or whites...just shades of grey. The Ukraine is a grey area. Most of eastern Europe is as well.
But we understand the Russians completely. The Chinese less so. Anything that keeps the Ukraine out of Russian direct control is a good thing for us. It's a proxy, and it has been one since the wall came down. It will continue to be one until Russia stops.
