I’d rather see him run for Mayor of Detroit. He’s a hometown hero, his anti gay stance would be bolstered and he could help bring a pro life stance to the city. Plus his soft stance on guns would be meaningless in Detroit since state law overrides local laws in the case of guns.
Some close contact with Detroit police chief Craig might strengthen Carson on guns and self defense.
That (major metro mayor) would make sense. I am certainly aware of the man, but have not followed him very closely. To run for pres, I think one has to have some seriously thick skin and I don’t think he has been tested in that way. Nor in any real executive way. I don’t doubt the quality of the man nor his ability to carry out the job for a second, but running for office is blood sport.
