On Monday, four days after Vladimir Putin’s minions in Ukraine shot down a passenger airliner carrying 298 people, including an American citizen, President Barack Obama emerged from the White House to issue a statement. Scowling at the camera, Obama stated: “Russia has extraordinary influence over these separatists. No one denies that. Russia has urged them on. Russia has trained them.”
Finally, after fulminating for several minutes about the nastiness of the Russian government, Obama approached the predictable climax: threats of action.
Except that there were none.
Instead, Obama explained that if Russia were to ignore his warnings, it would “only further isolate itself from the international community, and the costs for Russia’s behavior will only continue to increase.”
To which Putin’s only rational response would be laughter.
This is a Western humiliation on an epic scale. Obama and Europe could wrongly and weakly pass off the invasion and annexation of Crimea as a historical anomaly brutally corrected. They could ignore the further invasion of eastern Ukraine, focusing instead on those naughty Israelis busily defending themselves against rocket attacks from Hamas terrorists.

Because he’s an actual man? A crazy one no doubt, but no murse or gender re-assignment that I can tell.
Who would be intimidated by Obama? The only things Obama has shown any interest in is blaming Bush, vacations, and homosexuals.
Why? Why not? Who would not love to do the same? I know I would pay money for it. It would be a wonderful thing. Giving him the butt-kicking of his life that he so sorely deserves but will unfortunately never get it.
Because he’s serious and the White House isn’t?
Or maybe just because Putin can, it is so easy.
The Current Occupant may or may not realize it, but he has a “Kick Me” tag taped on his back.
How can anyone refuse an invitation like that?
Cleaned up headline. The truth would involve insertion.
With Obama in office Russia could kick America’s butt and probably will.
They both have the same principles : they hate American and for what it stands.

I'd say that's more true of Obama than Putin. Putin's King of the Slavs, and America gets in the way of his putting the band back together, so he'd like to see its power diminished.
On the other hand, Obama's the one who wants to bring the USA down ("transform") it for ideological reasons.
I think we should just begin calling Obama by his new ‘given name’... Neville.
I don’t mean to suggest that the US should take military action over the downing of this airliner. But what we are seeing in the Ukraine is Russian expansionism in the most lawless manner. When Putin gets away with this he will try again elsewhere.

I guess you’re rolling drugs, booze & golf into ‘vacations’. That still leaves racial grievance. Obama has a vast interest in rubbing raw any racial wound he can locate, no matter how small or forgotten. When it comes to things that perk him right up, the racial grievance industry is close to the top.
Oh, and NBA brackets. He’s interested in those too, though he just can’t seem to spell Syracuse right.
Because Putin is an alpha male and Obama is an omega metrosexual?
