ABC News just reported that visibility was 2 meters, due to blinding rain, when tower advised them to try landing again, but no answer. They'd already crashed, apparently.

2 meters? That's only 6 feet 4 inches--with visibility that bad, even if the plane and the runway uses ICAO Category IIIc bad weather landing systems, it may not help in this case.
