“It also says a flag is usually freshened every three months. So how many days is a stretch of bright sunny days? I dont know, but I have a sneaking suspicion its longer than the evening of one day, where as the sun set, the webcam could pick out the bright colors of both flags, to the following morning, when they were virtually pure white.”
Link please....I have seen no one say this happened over night...and I’m not aware of any camera’s directly on each flag...
We don’t know when the last time they were changed do we?....was it three months ago?...or last week?
“And what is the meaning of bleach - faded how much? In the entire history of the bridge, we can safely presume that the flags didnt suddenly astonish everyone by turning pure white.”
Well the story I linked about the guy who maintains the flags is 5 years old...and he clearly said “bleached” as in sun bleached....I take that to mean faded or nearly white.
And if he had already had to replace bleached flags...obviously no one noticed those times...which is what I think happened this time...they were sun bleached....again....only now someone noticed before they had been changed.
“Also you didnt forget that inverse-negative thing of one of the flags, did you? Kind of hard for bleaching to do that.”
Again...link please...I have seen nothing to suggest that both flags were not the same official US flags in standard colors.
“There, has enough time been wasted on this obviously inapplicable idea? Because Im done with it.”
Oh...ok...so you are going to dismiss this as an obvious oversite in flag maintenance and timing and peg it up to some kind of conspiracy....
Ever heard of Occam’s razor?
I will be waiting for the links proving the flags were not identical or the proof it “happened over night” as I have seen no evidence of either assertion.....while I have now seen evidence that the flags have been sun bleached in the past and needed to be replaced regularly.
Knock yourself out.
Bye.
Again...link please...I have seen nothing to suggest that both flags were not the same official US flags in standard colors.
Three seconds on Google...
