Just FYI - the NG does have the power to detain per Greg Abbott. He is working on the power to arrest.

And what will the National Guard do when they 'detain' and 'arrest'? Turn them over to immigration who will just let them go? Obama will probably just run them out anyway. (Nobody interferes with his Cloward-Piven scheme when it's working so well)

Perry has forces at his disposal to turn back a foreign invasion of Texas (and that's what it is) and secure the border as stipulated in the Texas Constitution to protect the citizens of Texas, citizens that he swore to protect when he was sworn in as governor. (forces that Obama cannot mess with.)

And what about the tens of thousands of illegals (and most likely Muslim terrorists) who swarmed over the border bringing disease, drugs and crime to our Texas citizens while Perry did nothing but get on national TV and whine? He should have exercised his powers long, long ago.

Texas Governor Perry has the authority to call forth the state military forces and the reserve militia to repel the invasion.

U.S. Const. art. IV, § 4 mandates the Federal government protect states against Invasion
The Federal government has not performed.
States have legal recourse.

The law supports the states.
The federal government is violating law.
