This comment gets right to the bottom line:
I'd be more apt to say it's an indictment of the surveillance state. The government had all the information at its disposal that it needed, but couldn't put two and two together because of the sheer size of the bureaucracies involved.

HBO or another movie channel is running a documentary about the black moslums arrested in Newburgh NY. They were recruited and supplied by a government informant. I don't have any sympathy for the four black guys who were dumb enough to follow the informant. They were more interested in money then jihad. Bottom line is they were willing to set bombs off in Jewish neighborhoods and blow up a military plane at Stewart Air Base.
