New Zealands first same-sex marriage is shaping up to become the countrys first same-sex divorce. Less than a year since they became the poster girls for the countrys new legal definition of marriage (last August) the NZ Herald reports that Melissa Ray, a former Ferns football player, and Natasha Vitali, a sales rep, are believed to have split.
The main source of the story appears to be Ms Vitalis Facebook page on which the following poem appeared yesterday:
Drink it down, laugh it off, Avoid the drama, take chances, And never have regrets Because at one point everything you did Was exactly what you wanted.
When the Herald contacted her Ms Vitali said: "It's not anyone's business, we'll just leave it at that, but thank you for calling. And, I'm not talking to you about my private life, we got enough coverage when we got married."
It is well known that female partnerships break up more often than male twice as much, according to a Scandinavian study cited by Jason Richwine in a recent National Review post...

"lesbian partners were over 200 percent more likely to divorce" As the great philosopher Al Bundy said:
"I don't try to understand women. Women understand women. And they hate each other."

""It's not anyone's business,"
Oh, really ? Your insistence on altering the definition of the bedrock institution of humanity for thousands of years by getting in everyone's face about it, and now when your charade of a "marriage" goes bust, it's not ANYONE'S business ? These people are a joke. Tell you what, kids, leave marriage to the people it was meant for: a man & a woman, OK ?

Ha Ha, my heart bleeds for these poor souls. Try as they may, they are looking for “love” in all the wrong places. You cannot replace God's true order for the universe with a man made one, it will not work. A square peg in a round hole will never fit. Sorry for the pun.

Women are hard to live with and that must be especially true of two women.
I will stay away from the whole KIWI thing as it leaves a bad taste in my mouth

More than likely, one left for a man. Generally a lesbian loses to a man when breeding time comes.

All these people who support “gay” marriage always talk about happiness. That’s the best reason they can conjure for allowing such nonsense. Truly, there is no logical reason to support such deviancy.
