Your sign-up date was in 2005, which by the average person's count, means that you have been a member here for nine years. That is normally long enough for someone to have at least heard about copyright restrictions here. Since Breitbart is in the database which forces you to excerpt the article and because Breitbart's articles are formatted into readable paragraphs on their site, it's easy for the average person to believe that you intentionally posted the entire article.
For fun, let's pretend that it was by accident that you crammed the entire article together without any paragraphs into the thread section of your post. However, you then posted the entire article again, and you posted it with paragraphs in the second response. That copyright violating post had to be removed.
The little excerpt box which everyone is forced to check prior to posting any article from the excerpt only list of publications, is there to protect Jim Robinson and Free Republic from copyright infringing lawsuits and from having to pay expensive attorneys' fees. The software designed by John Robinson forces people to excerpt articles from copyright restricted sites, yet it primarily excerpts only long articles which exceed 600 words.
The shorter articles with less than 600 words, however, are still copyright restricted and must be excerpted to at least half the total number of words by the Poster. For example, if an article is only 300 words long, at least 150 words must be removed. If the article is only 50 words long, you must remove at least 25 words. All this is your responsibility when you post.
Hope this helps and has clarified copyright restrictions imposed upon Free Republic. Here's a helpful link that you should keep handy and check before you post any published material:
