Actually, Abp. Donoghue has gone to his eternal reward.

He died in 2011. Our parish choir sang at his wake.

Prayers for the repose of his soul.

I did not double check that. But, if anyone is in a better place, he is (of American bishops).

I did have an interesting meeting with him when he was still Archbishop, and the Crossroads walkers were in Atlanta meeting with him in his office.

I told that the good Archbishop was the Imprimatur of my Bible (he did that when he was in Washington, DC).

He down played it, but the Crossroads were impressed that he was the Imprimatur of a Bible.

I have one blessed by the Archdiocese of Atlanta -- he might have blessed.

He was quite humble about it, but it was clear that the Crossroads walkers were tickled to hear that he did that.

I do cherish that Bible as my Family Bible.
