--SNIP-- This comes as two NYPD officers were yanked off the street Friday as cops and the Staten Island district attorneys investigated the stunning death of a suspect placed in a banned chokehold. The officers were slated for desk duty pending completion of the probe into Thursdays death of Eric Garner, 43, as he was brought down by five NYPD officers outside a Tompkinsville beauty parlor.
Loss of life is always a tragedy, said Police Commissioner Bill Bratton at a City Hall news conference. Nobody began the day with the expectation it would end the way it did.

Dude, seriously?

Typically, when the pigs ask me to do something, I comply and don’t have issues. Others may try different approaches, and results may vary.
Thank you, I will. BTW, that part of hill street blues was spot on accurate- some of the best memories of my job was the silly and funny stuff said and done in “roll call”.

God Bless you, CC. We need more of your kind and a lot less of the napoleon-complex midgets that seem to be running around lately
Thank you, and God bless you as well.

” Please dont assume all of us are JBTs because we pin on a badge before we go to work.”
O.K., I won’t! But when will guys like you insist on cleaning out your respective agencies of this kind of trash? I mean here on FR, we get a daily dose of the routine abuse of citizens by “your brother officers!” Protecting yourselves at the expense of the citizens. You can start by all observing all the laws that you enforce on the rest of us. You all remind me of the old saying “ Why does a dog lick his balls.” Answer, “because he can.” Seems to me that the cops have an “omerta” as solid as the crime families today. You need to start seeing your job in light of those of us who pay you, instead of yourselves. Personally, I never want the cops where I live anywhere near my home and there is virtually no real crime here. I don’t want to have to try and discern whether or not a cop is decent and honest, because too many of them are not.
Well aren’t you special. That’s good because they might just kill you otherwise.
The Met and the Intrepid, only reasons I’d be there.
“Well arent you special. Thats good because they might just kill you otherwise.”
I’ve seen it FIRST HAND when someone mouths off to a cop. A “friend” of mine decided to do that stunt driving down a mountain in California. The pig figured we were drunk, we were not - we had been driving for hours, but cut through the mountain as a short cut.
I was polite, but my “friend” decided to mouth off. The cop was alone and summoned all the inner strength that he had to not slam him to the ground (only slammed him on my car). My friend was very lucky.
But what was interesting. I was the driver and he treated me JUST FINE, as I listened to him.
Tatted, roided pigs in action.
You remind me of the Stockholm Syndrome.
They didn’t kill me. They must be my friends.
“You remind me of the Stockholm Syndrome.”
I prefer to call it “Survival Syndrome”.
You’re welcome to be Mr. Bravado, and when your obituary comes around on FreeRepublic most of us will blame the cop, so you (or really your kin) will not be disappointed.
But I have HIGHER PRIORITIES than an early death and if someone has a badge and a gun (in a non-combat setting), I will accede to their wishes and fight my battles in the courthouse, if it ever even comes to that.
If you have to lick boots you lick boots. I guess.
“If you have to lick boots you lick boots. I guess.”
Yep, if they have the gun, I will lick boots. As mentioned before, if it’s not peacetime, then all bets are off (i.e., they come to round me up, I will fight back, probably get killed, but at least take some out with me).
What I don’t understand about your attitude is why you think the court house is going to give you any justice.
“What I dont understand about your attitude is why you think the court house is going to give you any justice.”
Didn’t say it would...but being on the receiving end of a 9mm doesn’t bode so well either.
You play the odds.
Why did you abandoned your “friend”?
“Why did you abandoned your friend?”
Because if he wanted to get himself killed for no reason, that was his right...I preferred to see another sunrise. And if I did try to “protect” him, we probably both would be dead, considering how wound-up that cop was.
