"When you blame others,
you give up your power to change."
(Robert Anthony)

Will Republicans, if they regain power of both political branches, have the political will to begin to unravel the nightmares caused by an abandonment of our founding principles,

or will they just nibble around the edges with insignificant modifications because they no longer believe in either conservative principles or their ability to convince the people that our ideas are still superior?

We have already answered that question, I fear. I hope the answers are temporary.

"....The GOP is paralyzed... afraid of its own shadow....just like the DNC wants it to be.
Everyone KNOWS it!
The paralysis is has been developing for decades and it is fatal."
.....the so called right is too concerned about the number and flow of feathers in their nests
I don’t think the “right” has lost its will, it’s the Beltway GOP. (and IMNVHO state and local Republicans, supported by the RNC.)
The GOP fights for what it really wants."

IMNVHO, "nibbling around the edges" is exactly what many posters on this site are doing with the endless discussion of the crimes of Obama. Pointless, IMNVHO, because Obama and his criminal team belong to another party, over which those who do not belong to it, US, have no power, except the vote, now (1)neglected by many non-Democrats and (2) corrupted by the Democrats.

Whatever power we do have is over the party to which we belong, which has neglected us and is corrupted. So, there is no effective party into which we can place our trust to represent us and our views in government.

We rightly fear that Third Parties will doom us at this stage of our development. Enter the Tea Party. It is the beginning of the reform of the Republican Party .... but it is not yet a national party ... it is not yet an effective organization ...and the "official" Republican Party is fighting it tooth and nail with vast resources.

We are left with two herculean tasks. First, we (and I do mean we) must reform (revive? bury? re-name?) the Republican Party. Second, we (and I do mean we)must convince that party to represent us, assuming that is, that the Third World population shift, Minorities, Special Interest Groups, and Women do not outnumber Americans of sense, or miraculously come to their senses!

I have no doubt that the Republicans will sweep Congress in 2014. Our best strategy will be to be in their face every moment of the next two years to force them to stand for the needed changes and not accommodate Team Obama. The question above has to be answered correctly.

Holder is said to be resigning. Perhaps Obama can be driven to follow suit. However, a tanked economy is the dominant fact of our national life ... a new population demographic doesn't care and just wants to divide up the remains ... that means our new Congress will be driven to go along to get along. That is what we must prevent.

...if possible at this stage in our history ... really the life cycle of the American Republic.
