As an American, I am appalled by Dick Cheney and his relentless, pathetic and ultimately doomed effort to revise the history of his failures.
Cheney's endless media appearances, including this remarkable interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, reveal a nearly sociopathic refusal to admit any error, express any remorse, apologize for any mistake.
And so let us review the Cheney record: No vice president has done more damage to our country, not even Vice President Aaron Burr, who shot and killed Alexander Hamilton 210 years ago.

The article isn't getting any better after the above quotes either...
There is no low the Dems won't sink to.
Can you imagine the outrage if a conservative would right a similar editorial about Obama -- even if everything they said were true.
And here Begala lies and lies and CNN publishes it...
I like Cheney. I like him way more than Obama. That’s because I hate Obama.
Cheney needs to ally with Palin.
Just saying.
Step up to the plate, Cheney.
One shouldn’t even mention Cheney in the same paragraph as Obama.
Cheney was and is a statesman.
Obama is a malevolent con-man, bent on destroying the country.
I can’t watch Begala on any show because his forehead reminds of how much I miss drive in movies.
The truth about what Saddam had or didn't have is buried in those captured Iraqi documents that the Dems insisted be taken out of public view.
That Bush acquiesced to their demands remains one of my biggest disappointments about his administration.
Paul Begala
Begala was a regular fixture in the Clinton White House during the President’s first term in office. But he was subsequently ostracized from Clinton’s inner circles after he supplied incriminating information about the President to author Bob Woodward for the latter’s book, The Agenda.
During the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal of 1998, the Clinton administration called Begala back to duty as a counselor to, and public spokesman for, the President. At the time, Begala expressed his firm belief that Clinton was being truthful in maintaining that he had not had sexual relations with Lewinsky. “He has a difficult time being duplicitous,” Begala’s friend Carville commented. “I think he believes the President. I think if he didn’t believe the President, he couldn’t do this [work for Clinton].” Begala himself said, “I pride myself on being a true believer . I am not a hired gun. I have an extraordinary high confidence level in him [Clinton].”
In an article he penned during the 2000 presidential balloting’s Florida recount, Begala suggested that a disproportionate number of Republicans and conservatives were bigots prone to violence and cruelty:
“Yes ... tens of millions of good people in Middle America voted Republican. But if you look closely at that [electoral] map [showing counties that voted Republican in red] you see a more complex picture. You see the state where [African American] James Byrd was lynch-dragged behind a pickup truck until his body came apartit’s red. You see the state where Matthew Shepard was crucified on a split-rail fence for the crime of being gayit’s red. You see the state where right-wing extremists blew up a federal office building and murdered scores of federal employeesit’s red. The state where an army private who was thought to be gay was bludgeoned to death with a baseball bat, and the state where neo-Nazi skin-heads murdered two African Americans because of their skin color, and the state where Bob Jones University spews its anti-Catholic bigotry: they’re all red too.”

Hillary Clinton’s Allies Come to Her Rescue Over Benghazi
“I think the way she has dealt with this has been admirable. And Republicans are treading awfully close to the tin foil hat,” said Begala.
Begala: Tea Partiers ‘Whiny, Weasels Who Don’t Love Their Country’
On Friday’s Hannity show on FNC, host Sean Hannity played an audio clip of liberal CNN contributor Paul Begala as he was interviewed on the April 15 Imus in the Morning radio show, in which Begala engaged in name-calling against Tax Day Tea Party participants: “Why are they out there whining with this Tea Party thing? Just a bunch of wimpy, whiny, weasels who don’t love their country and don’t want to support — there are guys at Walter Reed who gave their legs for my country, and they’re whining because they have to write a check?” He went on to single out FNC’s Hannity and Neil Cavuto before Imus stepped in to defend them. Begala: “Mr. Cavuto, Mr. Hannity, all the rest of those guys, they have representation, they just lost an election — that’s not tyranny, that’s democracy.” After Imus defended Cavuto and Hannity, and called Hannity a patriot, Begala shot back: “Then tell him to pay his taxes and support our country and stop whining about it.”
Agreed. Cheney is a Rockefeller Republican, and that is more pallatable than ANY democrat.
Lizard head Carville, Willie “I (heart) North Korea” Richardson, Paul “The Forehead” Begala, that little tiny Reich feller. The Clintonistas are rising from the dead. I guess they all smell their old jobs coming open and want them back. They’re all over the tube and newspapers.
It’s interesting that Begala likes to hang the word “sociopath” on Cheney. The only other any major American politician I’ve heard that term applied to was his old boss Bill Clinton.
Dick Cheney knows that it’s a compliment when this kind of trash hate you.
Mr. Cheney, always my Vice President.
PAUL BEGALA, CNN: Im just glad we have a president who when we have a problem in Libya doesn’t freak out and invade Liberia.
MAHER: Right.
BEGALA: Which is what the last guy, thats what Bush would have done.
LOESCH: Or you know what? Or accidentally bomb a medicine factory like Clinton did. (During Lewinksy affair)
For those that forget the reference, in August 1998, President Clinton bombed the Al-Shifa pharmaceutical factory in Sudan as a reprisal for terrorist attacks on U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.
The incident ended up being rather embarrassing for the Clinton administration as Sudan and other governments disputed any connection between the factory and Osama bin Laden.

Does America like its candidates poor?

Paul Begala, a Democratic strategist and CNN political commentator, was a political consultant for Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign in 1992 and was counselor to Clinton in the White House. He is a consultant to the pro-Obama super PAC Priorities USA Action.
So the current hyperventilation over Hillary Clinton’s comments about her relative wealth and her lucrative book and speaking deals misses the point. Voters want to know what’s in her heart and what’s on her mind, not what’s in her wallet.

The communist Henry Wallace was the worst vice president, but Dick Cheney comes right behind him.
