Prior to assuming his current position, for six years, Ambassador Gardner was Managing Director at Palamon Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in London. The American diplomat has dedicated more than twenty years of his career to US-European affairs, as a government official, lawyer and investor. He served as Director for European Affairs on the National Security Council in 1994-95. Any trade pact with the EU pretty much means a big redistribution of American wealth and jobs out of the country.
Logic will tell one that it is stupid to do a trade deal with an entity (EU) that is near economic collapse. But, hey, this is ObamaNomics for you

The EU is not near economic collapse. They are using high unemployment as a “beneficial crisis” in order to take absolute power.
The EU has had to borrow money from IMF and World Bank (aka US Taxpayers) in recent years....economically they are not doing well
Borrowing means ability to pay back.
