Why do people in Washington State (and yes, it's "people", not just Cantwell) believe that executing children in their mothers' wombs is an essential part of "women's health"? I live in the state; what is about this state that makes people so... murderous?
I realize this is not - directly at least - an abortion-related measure, but it's along the same road with much the same rhetoric. Futhermore, a select few of these drugs are abortifacients and do, in fact, result in the death of a tiny human being, hence the Hobby Lobby case.
I moved here from CA (was in the military here, met a girl, and married her).
Speaking about Western Washington, from Olympia to the border: Never met meaner people anywhere. Never met more entitled and arrogant people. Silicon alley is worse, but not much worse. Between the feminists, the single parent families, the noveau-riche software and coffee plutocrats, the abortionists who are doing it all ‘for the kids’ - they are reprehensible people.
Openly anti-Semitic - they have speakers at church who talk about the brutality of the Israeli people toward Palestinians and they don’t invite anyone to counter it.
Eastern Washington? It’s the obverse of Western Washington. Good people, patriotic, and out to help each other. They will help you when you are down, but they can’t tolerate idiots.
Spokane is weird. They don’t know whether to be fish nor fowl. Gonzaga is in the heart of it, which makes for great basketball, but the social justice indoctrination will make you upchuck your Keds.

My only thought is that we have a large liberal population, state politics is basically run by them from King County, Seattle and Olympia.
Even though Murray and Cantwell are leftists I find it hard to believe they want abortion pills given to pro abortion baby killers along with already supplied birth control.
