On July 15, Chris McDaniel won a Mississippi lower state court order to see the poll books in Jackson County. McDaniel is trying to show that the number of voters who voted in the Democratic primary of June 3, and then voted in the Republican run-off primary on June 24, exceeds the number of votes by which McDaniel lost the run-off primary. See this story. Jackson County contains Pascagoula. It is the fifth most populous county in the state.
If destroyed, then that’s good for McDaniel. Destruction of evidence is enough to cast the election in doubt and for a court to overturn it.
I guess we just have to wait for more evidence and see what can be proven. It just seems completely unjust that if Cochran 'won' because of numerous illegalities and illegal votes, that he should have any chance of participating in another election with McDaniel. And it seems wrong that the contest for the Republican senate primary would be reopened to any new candidates.
Maybe once the alleged illegalities are specified in a legal action, we'll learn for sure what the possible legal remedies will be. Some Cochran people including Thad himself could end up with some legal problems.
I see what you mean. But until Cochran is convicted I think the state has to allow him to run again in a new election. But I don’t think he will.
This whole thing was orchestrated by “I will punch them in the nose” McConnell (referring to tea party republicans). He had a lot of help from others but he is the ringleader.

Yes I'm stuck in the middle with you,
And I'm wondering what it is I should do,
It's so hard to keep this smile from my face,
Losing control, yeah, I'm all over the place,
Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volleyed and thunder’d;
Storm’d at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell
Rode the six hundred.
BTW, has anyone else noticed that ole Haley Barbour, who normally can't keep his big mouth shut..has all but dropped off the radar...nary a peep..
McDaniel has been saying for two weeks that they would releasing all the info/proof today.
Now they say 10 more days
I”m not sure where all this is going now. It may wind up in court or it may drag out
for a while longer and disappear entirely. The one thing that I believe is that if McDaniel
is dragging this out and nothing is produced then he’s probably finished politically.
Don’t be disappointed in McDaniel. It’s not his fault.

The above should answer some of your concern. They literally have more than 10,000 pages and growing of documented fraud to annotate, organize and summarize. They are working around the clock 24/7 like machines.
They would of had all this done last week if it were not for Hosemann and the Barbour gang stopping the McDaniel team from reviewing the election materials as it is their right to do.
There are 82 counties in Mississippi. 60 of them have complied with the law, opened up all their materials for review and posted a deputy to keep the integrity of the review under watch, and the McDaniel team tanked each and everyone of those counties. And there are hundreds and hundreds of precincts that had to be canvassed.
Then there are 20 counties that have stonewalled and refused the McDaniel team access to the original election materials. McDaniel’s team had to file 20 lawsuits to get access to those ballot materials and they have won 3 so far and are arguing in court today for the 4th win.
Because of all the stonewalling they are causing McDaniel to lose precious time. Don’t blame him. It’s not his fault. He is making progress inch by inch. Blame the Cochran-Barbour gang and the people that answer to them and not the law.
Read the above link. You will see McDaniel is starting to turn the corner and win this fight.
I believe there will be another runoff in September.
Thanks for posting this wonderful news and for your excellent posts, keeping us updated on all things McDaniel/MS Sen race.
I can tell you why Jackson and Harrison County is up to their necks in corruption with this vote:
The union.
Ingalls Shipyard backed Cochran. Trent Lott and others were telling people without Cochran they would lose contracts. Ingalls is the biggest employer in the state and is located in Jackson County. They also employ a lot of people in Harrison County.
During the run up to the election, Cochran didn’t even bother to campaign at Halter Marine, another shipyard in Jackson County, because they are not union. He sent an underling from his campaign to hand out fliers.
Look up stories on the former sheriff of Jackson County, Mike Byrd. You cannot imagine the corruption along the coast.
