What evidence do we have that we’re the only life in this galaxy? Have we visited every star system and scanned them for life? Do we know with absolute certainty?

That was my point. We have very little evidence, but everyone seems to assume that there is a more advanced civilization out there. Based on the lack of evidence, it's just as valid to assume we're the most advanced.
