Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Tuesday asserted the southern border is secure despite the massive surge of illegal minors from Central America that has overwhelmed federal agencies.
"The border is secure,” he told reporters after the Senate Democrats’ weekly policy lunch. “[Sen.] Martin Heinrich [(D-N.M.)] talked to the caucus today. He’s a border state senator. He said he can say without any equivocation the border is secure.”
Reid said lawmakers need to worry less about border security and focus instead on President Obama’s $3.7 billion request to help process the tens of thousands of children from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador who have been apprehended on the border.

Reid just admitted the 3.7 Billion is for dealing with the invasion rather than money for the border....
The 3.7 billion must be laundering money to fund democratic unions and lib organizations because there is no possible way it takes 3.7 billion to take care of even a couple of 100, 000 children....

And in the same breath, he stated we need to give obama the 3.7B$ he requested to deal with the crisis at the border. He’s lost his mind.
He sticks to the dim mantra of say something often enough, somebody will believe you and defend your words, no matter how ridiculous and ludicrous they may be.
Fire all of these losers. We need to get back to a time when there were few , if any career politicians. I know there are people out there that would argue that would make them more worthless than they already are, but I disagree. Worthless and dangerous are two different things.

I agree. Failure to do so is derelection of duty as the opposition party. They must point out why nothing Obama asks for regarding the border makes sense, too. He and Reid want $3,7billion. But if the border stays unsecure you might as well make that $3.7 trillion. Every poor person in the world can come in and get Obama money (and a phone). If Reid and Obama think the border is secure and they get their way, then the nation is doomed.

Reid, we understand that THE SOUTHERN BORDER IS SECURE. It’s pretty darn OBVIOUS, as they’re now shooting down practically everything that poses a threat.
But most Americans are interested in OUR southern border, not Israel’s - yes, we are happy for Israel, but we’d also like to see something done about our southern border too.
Liberals don’t think like chess players. They are checker players only thinking of the next move and instant gratification. They don’t think of what the socio-economic consequences will be in the future as long as they can appear to be bleeding hear liberals and take selfies of themselves standing next to the immigrant children on the border then running off to the next photo op leaving them behind and forgetting them.
Of course it’s secure. No one gets through except the millions of illegal aliens our government wants to.
The problem is not an unsecured border, but a government that’s betraying its people.
