Retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Poll Worker: Mississippi Election Documents Thrown Away
BreitbartĀ“s Big Government ^ | 7/15/14 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 07/15/2014 10:21:50 PM PDT by Nachum

Phil Harding, a 30-year Air Force veteran and Chris McDaniel supporter who helped run the June 24 primary runoff election in Harrison County, Mississippi, said he witnessed key documents being discarded and that a large volume of absentee ballot envelopes and applications are missing, making them unavailable for review by McDaniel´s campaign. However, another poll worker involved, a member of a local Harrison County GOP Executive Committee and Cochran supporter Frank Bordeaux, provided a significantly different account of the episode, saying the documents weren´t discarded. Harding´s account is included in a lawsuit from election integrity group True The Vote, which has alleged

Why not? It works for the WH, the DOJ, the IRS, the EPA, etc.. On second thought IT'S TIME FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION THAT IS A TOTAL REDO OF THE FIRST ONE.

This MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO STAND. A cover-up with multiple felonies for THE BOGUS ELECTION OF THAD COCHRAN. THIS MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO STAND.

Basically, you are left to vote for a Democrat in the fall. Forget about third-party stuff...it always fails. Forget about Republicans who supported Cochran. Just vote Democrat and in six years...vote to bring another Republican who might be “clean”. That’s the only method of fixing this. If we had real third-party candidates....and parties...it’d be different, but we don’t.

The only thing that keeps me from voting for Karl uh Travis Childers is the US Supreme Court.

Two different stories, but some elements have a similar theme.

1. Harding was told by Bankston to toss them in the bin.

2. Bordeaux said he found them in the bin and Bankston told him to fish them out and give them to her.

It seems someone (Bankston?) was intent that the ballots belonged in the bin.

So, are you saying there is no way that Chris McDaniel can run as a Write-in or Independent? I’ve said all along, that if it ends up that Chris is no where on the ballot in November, I’d vote for the Pro-Life, Pro-2nd Amendment Democrat, Childers. Screw the GOP.

I will not vote for a democrat, nor will I vote for cochran. If we have cochran on the ballot I would like to see 100k write in votes, even though they will most likely be counted as a “NO VOTE”.

I will not vote for a democrat, nor will I vote for cochran.

If you are offended by both candidates and there is no third-party option, then not voting on this line of the ballot is the logical action. If I were in Mississippi, that's what I'd do.

I know people are mad at Cochran and the GOPe but don't vote in a Democrat. It is hard to oust an incumbent - even a clown like Al Fracken is a challenge. Who knows what will happen in the 2020 election - there could be a popular Democrat Presidential incumbent seeking re-election at the head the ticket who boosts all the Democrat candidates down the ballot or an unpopular Republican Presidential incumbent seeking re-election who weighs down all Republican candidates down the ballot. It would be a shame to see Childers become the next John Stennis and serve as the Mississippi senator forever. That's a risk you run if you vote in a Democrat with the idea of removing them after one term. A no-incumbent 2020 Senate race in Mississippi would naturally favor the Republicans.

I posted the following 6/27 and other similar post. I have used your argument for voting for rinos to others for 50 years including 2012, I have concluded it only works against us. We have to have concessions from them as they give to democrats. We cannot forgive them or overlook the tactics they used in this race.

“Speaking as 50+ year loyal Republican who has never missed an election, primary, runoff, voted for a democrat and who has worked for and contributed to Republican candidates including those primary winners or nominees he didn’t support in primaries. What is our majority in the House doing for us, they vote to spend more money, increase the national debt, fund obamacare. They have investigative committees but what has been accomplished on the IRS, Benghazi, fast and furious, VA, enforcing our current immigration laws, protecting our borders, etc.? Sure there are a few of them, I hope, who would actually do something but they are stymied by leadership and rinos. So sending a rino who was nominated by democrats who are demanding all kinds of larder being cast their way , including rescinding the states Voter ID law, is going to help?”

My argument? I didn't argue in favor of voting for Cochran - I argued against voting for the Democrat. A person always has the option of withholding their vote if the circumstances warrant and as I stated in the post, that's what I would do if I lived in Mississippi. I don't know how many times I got lite up on this forum for withholding my vote from Romney. Romney was my epiphany - I realized that it was possible for the Republicans to nominate someone so bad that I couldn't hold my nose and vote for him. I was also willing to withhold my vote from my Congress women, RINO Lynn Jenkins until congressional redistricting made it a moot point.

I don't think that the advantage of incumbency in political races is at all a controversial statement. The benefit of sending a message to the GOPe for their reprehensible tactics needs to be weighed against the potential cost of having to unseat an incumbent Democrat senator in 2020. I don't want to have the voters in Mississippi cut off their nose to spite their face.

The best thing that could happen in Mississippi is for McDaniel's challenge to be successful. If a new election could be ordered due to proven voting irregularities in the initial primary and McDaniel is successful in the re-vote, the GOPe would get its black eye and the conservatives would get their candidate.

Wasn't McDaniel supposed to hold a press conference today? I haven't seen anything about it.

Yes, I should have said THE instead of YOUR. I really think and thought at the time of my comment that we were at least on the same page if not the same paragraph.

It is funny that when I was writing my response, I had the thought that the 'your' might have been an oversight on your part. It seemed from the rest of your post that we have similar ideas.

McDaniel's attorney has given grounds for us to be excited. Maybe we can get this election farce overturned.
