When I was a kid living in Del Mar, California we had a cat EXACTLY like that one. We also had a mixed terrier female dog named “Wendy”. Those two hated each other. The cat would do mean things to the dog, and vice versa.

One incident I remember to this day almost sixty years later was the dog entering the den, the fireplace was lit, everybody sitting around reading, or watching television, and the dog spotted the cat laying on the floor adjacent to the couch. She (the dog) feigned looking about for something, and turned as she did so. She then backed up, still looking into the air for some unknown somethingerother, continued backing up, and sat down on the cat.

I can’t remember the cats name right now, but that cat screamed, and took off running. We all laughed as the dog acted unconcerned. She then looked behind her at where the cat had been with an expression one might say of... “OH MY! What was that about!? OH WELL!

Cute story! Pets can be so much fun and, sometimes, so “human”. :-)
