Via the Blaze, skip to 9:20 of the second clip for a bit about his chat with Ted Cruz. It occurs to me that this is, in a way, the opposite of Palin’s call for impeachment. Many grassroots righties support impeachment but there’s virtually no one in the political class, including tea-party heroes like Cruz, willing to pursue it.
In the case of Beck’s charity drive for kids from Central America who’ve been sent north across the border, some (maybe not quite “many”) grassroots righties oppose it on grounds that it’s adding an incentive for more illegals to come. But virtually everyone in the political class supports it — again, including tea-party heroes like Mike Lee and Cruz, who has an extra reason as a prospective 2016 candidate to pitch in here. Joining Beck’s charity drive is a way for Republicans who might take a tougher line on border enforcement than the rest of the presidential field to deflect the left’s inevitable accusations that they’re “heartless.” What Beck’s doing here, intentionally or not, by bringing people like Cruz into the fold is creating political space for conservatives to stand their ground on security.
I’m frankly surprised that other big-name righties like Rubio and Rand Paul haven’t asked to participate too, precisely for that reason. Although, in Rubio’s case, perhaps that would be … awkward.
If Democrats end up caving and endorsing some sort of expedited deportation process for the kids who are coming, would that reduce the incentive to cross the border sufficiently to make you support Beck’s charity drive? Or is there nothing to redeem this idea among its opponents?
Beck says what feels good and doesn’t do his research. Did you ever hear what he said about the Dead Sea Scrolls? Guy can’t even bother to Google something, what makes you think he would actually let facts like it was liberals not Bundy supporters who shot the cops. He makes blanket statements and puts it out there and people believe him and defend him without checking the facts.
He is a propaganda machine that is brainwashed and every year loses more and more of his ability to think for himself.
“True compassion would send these people home.”
An old friend of mine is out in the desert quite a bit near Tucson. When he comes across illegals he gives them a gallon or two of water.
Then punches in the GPS coordinates, finds a spot with cell-phone reception and calls the Border Patrol.
//Beck is something of a meglomaniac, a religious fanatic and suffers from delusions of grandeur.//
The two are very closely related. Beck’s religion is very man centered and feeds pride and delusions of grandeur. He may have always been this way but Mormonism amplifies it greatly.
//There are many millions of poor children in the world. What makes the children who have violated American immigration laws more deserving than all the rest?//
Potential converts to Mormonism? I’m not kidding, illegal aliens are core targets right now and the LDS church doesn’t do charity work in impoverished countries like Christian organizations do - they help their own only and even that comes with a very high price akin to slavery.
Beck also masturbates to MLK speeches
He’s a former lefty....drunk doper
Like Krauthammer but high
Interesting idea. You may be right, but I'd like to see more evidence.
For Beck I suspect that convenience plays a large role. These kids are in the United States, so it's a short trip to the kids, it's easy to find a decent hotel and good food, easy to find technical staff, and easy to find media cameras to stand in front of. Those things wouldn't be so easy in rural Burundi, so Burundi's kids will be ignored. Call it convenient compassion.
Freeper Vendome did some reaseach a couple of years ago comparing LDS missionary work and illiteracy in Spanish speaking countries.
The last several years the LDS church has gotten very soft regarding illegal aliens at the same time as their normal white middle class members have been leaving in droves.
Also a couple of years ago there was a bit of a scandal about the LDS church covering up immigration status for their missionaries.
Here are a few links that address the LDS view - I can provide you with more about the decline in membership etc.

Succinct!....well said!
You connect the dots well.
I was rejoicing when Brat won......the ‘talking heads’ media were exploding......and then, presto changeo......we are being invaded.
Don’t ever let a crisis go to waste.....and if there isn’t one, invent one,
Yes, now we can see this was in the making since January ( if not before)
.....and Cantor’s loss was hugely significant!!!!!!!
My great hope is ‘what Satan meant for evil, God meant for good’. And that this will wake folks from their stupor and they will stand on the overpasses this weeekend and try to take back their country!
“Beck made a point of blaming Bush twice about border”
Blaming Bush confers instant credibility and moderation. Scarborough has it down to an art form.
Blaming Bush brings in checks from the moonbats.
Beck announced on The Factor that some individual just gave him a million dollar check and O’Reilly said he’d chip in too. Fine; it’s their money, and I’m sure it will help a lot of needy kids.
Does anyone remember Beck’s take on Elian Gonzalez? I bet anything that he wanted to send him back to the ‘father.”
I'm not impressed, I'll be impressed when they offer to take in some of these "kids."
I guess Beck’s next move will be to organize a telethon...with him front and center, weeping, of course.
LOL, your daughter is right!
I used to work with Beck years ago in Tampa. He wasn't bad then...he had more of a fun, energetic afternoon drive show on 970 WFLA. He should have stuck with that formula. Ever since he was picked up for syndication post-9/11, he's taken himself waaaaay too seriously.
I finally had enough of his talking out his a** when he got mad at gun owners who called him out for not knowing there was such things as ammo mags in capacities other than multiples of 5. I've not watched his show or listened to it on the radio since. I've had enough of his crybaby routine, anyway.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
“I subscribed to GBs Blaze TV for a long time. When he suggested the Bundy supporters could be violent, I said no mas. Thats an Alinsky tactic.
Hes always hawking something. This my listeners have donated over $700K for illegals thing just doesnt jive, with me, for some reason.”
Good for you! I subscribed force short time, but quit because I suspected he was for amnesty. He was having RINOs on his show (Rand Paul) and was throwing softball questions then agreeing with the answers without coming out directly.
What a tool and moron Beck is. Is he going to raise another couple of million for the American kids that will get TB, Scabees, lice, hepatitis, etc? when all of these illegal “kids” (animals) are shoved into public schools?
How long does anyone think it will to take before the feds, after their $4 billion request to process and move into the red states (read Stanley Kurtz) will demand another $5-6 billion for “emergency funds” for our “overwhelmed public schools” which, of course, will end up in the pockets of the fat cat teachers union with their pay and benefits for life.
CRISES, CRISES, CRISES
Talk about hypocrisy!
