He is the Democrat running for an open Senate seat in Iowa against Joni Ernst; the GOP candidate. This is the 3rd time he has said or done something that was offensive to farmers and every day folks in Iowa.
It was incredibly stupid for him to complain about chickens in his yard in farm country. (I have walked barefoot across the chicken yard and that is pretty stupid too) :)
