DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) Gov. Terry Branstad said Monday that he does not want Iowa to host any of the thousands of children from Central America who have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border alone.
During a news conference, Branstad said he was not aware of any of the children currently living in Iowa and that state has not been contacted by the federal government about housing any immigrant children. He said the government's focus should be on securing the borders.

Hey Governor? The Feds are not contacting anyone, they are just spreading the disease ridden criminals as far and fast as they can, with no audit trail...
Good for him to use common sense.
maybe people really are starting to wake up.
Now to get the governors of the other 55 states to refuse them —
Just look at all those unaccompanied children!!!!
We have fools in Washington, DC!!
If you don't want them here, you hate brown people.
I don't think that a state is necessarily going to get the courtesy of a call from the feds concerning housing immigrant children. This is evidenced by the following statement from a related thread.
"Murrieta, California Mayor Alan Long told FOX News on Monday morning that the no one from the federal government contacted the city about busing in hundreds of illegal immigrants to be housed there [emphasis added]." --FR: Murrieta Mayor Alan Long: Federal government never contacted us about busing illegal(VIDEO)
