In either case a Christian would be wise to prepare for persecution, suffering, and even his own death to come before The Rapture.
Two Thousand years of Christianity have seen persecutions, suffering, death, heresy, schism, apostasy, with no Rapture. Maybe it’s coming tomorrow. If so, great! Just don’t count on it. IMO, far too many Christians worry over when The Rapture will happen, instead of concerning themselves with preaching the Gospel, with loving the Lord with their whole soul, their whole heart, and their whole mind, and loving their neighbors as themselves. Let The Rapture come when it comes; we have a mission.
I wish I knew how to reach folks other than to respond to posts. I would like you to know your assessment of our being on a mission is correct. I determined it was way past time to get off the sidelines and not go down without a fight. I choose to go down swinging.
