I wonder if he’s having a nervous breakdown ... again.
On the day he signs into the unit....you can start the clock to ticking. Figure within twenty-one days that he will be in front of some medical board and asking for a hundred-percent disability. By day sixty....he’ll be approved for medical discharge and sent out. Within two years....I’ll even predict that he gets on a plane and flies back into Afghanistan or Pakistan to be with “his people”.
The thing is....if the Army had looked at the discharge paperwork that the Coast Guard did....they should NEVER have taken the guy in. He was a guaranteed nut-case, and we are giving this guy $1 million in disability payments for the rest of his life....for being a nut-case. Unbelieveable....so much money to waste....no one acting responsible and doing the right thing.
