I actually got to meet Hopalong "Hoppy" Cassidy as a kid, and was thrilled....he lived near my Dad's boss in Palm Desert and during a weekend trip, the boss drove us around the 'hood --- lo and behold, Hoppy was in his front yard; he gave my brothers and me little "Hoppy Money" aluminum tokens (wish I still had mine).
His house, cars, and gravel landscaping were exclusively in his trademark black and white.
