Not too long ago, I stated a similar sentiment on another thread and was told by a fellow FReeper that in no uncertain terms, the military swore an oath to follow the guidance of the civilian leadership, no questions asked.
I recalled that when I signed up, it was to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States...”, not some rogue administration.
You would have thought I’d tried to kick their dog....sheesh.
My husband was in the Air Force. I asked him once if generals lie. He said “of course. How do you think they get to be generals?” That was before Obama.
