Unlike many of his Republican colleagues, Karl Rove advocated Thursday for bipartisan compromise on immigration.
Republicans have to look at this as an opportunity that they have to work, the Republican strategist said on the Fox News program Happening Now.
Its an opportunity to get some things done to help secure the border.
He suggested that in working with President Barack Obamas $3.7 billion request for additional funds to deal with the current immigration crisis, Republicans could make policy gains like increasing the amount of border patrols.
They ought to sit down in good faith, he said of Republicans and the administration.
For Obamas part, Rove recommended flexibility on what the president expected Congress to give him.
I hope the president isnt stuck in the mud on, I have to have $3.7 billion, and the Republicans shouldnt feel compelled to give it to him.

Maybe ten years ago. The Rats now are too close to the goal line and they cannot be trusted. . . neither can Karl be trusted. . . .
It would be nice if we could work with Obama. It would be nice if we could work with him to cut real FedGov spending, to repeal ObamaCare, to seal the border and aggressively enforce immigration law, and to eliminate failed federal programs and wasteful spending. There are a lot of areas where it would be nice to work with Obama. The problem is that his goals are incompatible with freedom, with democracy, and with all other American values. It would be nice if those who love America could work with Obama, but Obama will not work with anyone who wants to preserve a free and prosperous country.
What a nimrod. Karl is the reason Bush never defended himself, now Karl says that was a mistake.
Karl, STFU!!!!!
Ban me please Moderators but please cotton1706, who is this mother fucker Karl Rove? WTF is he allowed to speak period!?
