I don't suppose I've seen every possible variation of Muslim prayer rugs, but I have to agree with that statement. I've lived or worked in Turkey, Morocco, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and it doesn't look like any prayer rug I ever saw.

Thank you for your sane response. Taking one scrap of cloth from the thousands that are undoubtedly littering the landscape and screaming “prayer rug!! prayer rug!!” makes conservatives sound ridiculous.
