Ann Coulter is urging tea party challenger Chris McDaniel to concede in the Mississippi Senate Republican primary.
In an op-ed in the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, the conservative commentator said McDaniel supporters who are fighting to contest the June 24 runoff election results against Sen. Thad Cochran are hurting the GOP and McDaniels own political future.

Ann is done, she fell out of reality. I think she had a visit from the elitist.
If Cochran winds up running against the RAT in November, the RATs will bring up the primary election fraud (brought about by Cochran’s campaign) and will have Cochran disqualified due to his illegalities. AND, the winner will be...the RAT!
Nuts.

Sure, she does... That is, if you support re-electing unethical, non-principled a-holes who continue to grow the size of government and protect their own personal power at the expense of preserving our Constitutional Republic and our individual freedoms.
Another Vichy Repubican.

If Cochran emerges from this unscathed, this will become the default standard for the GOP-E to put down the Tea Party. Stopping this crap in its tracks is far more important than one Senate seat.

Right on!
The GOP died many years ago. Get over it Ann. Either we replace the cronies with Tea Party patriots or we replace the entire party with a new third one. Anything else is capitulation.
Well, if McDaniel turns out not to have what he has claimed to have he will look like a real chump...
If he has to concede after all this, it will follow him for a long time.
The GOP will look like chumps, too. The media won’t make any distinctions.
So far, the McDaniel camp has only made a lot of claims.
I hope they didn’t speak too soon.

If it weren’t for open primaries, this couldn’t be the standard plan...
Well, open primaries aren’t going away across the board anytime soon, because the GOP-E loves being able to overwhelm the base when it aids their agenda. So we have to show, in no uncertain terms, that a line has been crossed and we will not accept this treatment. McDaniel is correct in fighting the ballot fraud and even if he is unsuccessful, Cochran deserves no support from conservatives come November.
Well, Ann will look really foolish if McDaniel makes progress.
Looks like a new case has been filed, so we will see what develops.
My guess is that McDaniel has a tough row to hoe, but if he can get it done it would be like a grenade in someone’s campfire. :-)
Well said, General McAuliffe!
Correct? So you think it’s okay that Cochran won through fraudulently voting Dems, race baiting ads and buying votes? Every time someone ignores things like this, another candidate will think it’s okay to use such tactics. The GOP hurt themselves.
Well, you have to back up your claims.
If you run around yelling fraud!, and then have to concede because you couldn’t document the fraud, what have you accomplished? How have you helped?
Let’s see what McDaniel actually comes up with. A new case has been filed, so we will see.
“the conservative commentator”
Hardly.
At least with the Mississippi runoff debacle, we’re seeing who are the false prophets of Constitutional conservatism.
My senator gave to the Cochran campaign, so if he supports the disgusting tactics that went on there, he does not get my vote.

Read her column. For some reason it is consistent with her attacks on the tea party movement, Senate Conservatives Fund, and her praise for Chris Christie and Mitt Romney.
Seems she's decided the way to remain relevant in the media is to be used as a "conservative" who attacks conservatives for media headlines/stories.
It's disappointing to see how Ann Coulter has turned out to be.
“Mr. Chairman, I rise to present a motion that The Rules be suspended.”
I second your motion.
Cochran's campaign was losing badly in the polls to McDaniel among Republicans. They knew they could not win without getting Democrats to vote for Cochran, so they ran a campaign saying "hey Democrats, that Chris McDaniel guy and the Tea Party are awful racist people who hate Obama and will end all the free federal stuff you think the government should give out."
Only problem is that according to Mississippi Election Law, a voter can't vote in the Democrat primary and then go and vote in the Republican runoff election. You have to choose one party's primary or another to vote in. Can't do both.
But that is what happened here - the Cochran people just funneled tens of thousands of Democrats to the polls without verification of whether they were eligible to vote in the GOP primary runoff.
Now on top of that are the allegations that the Cochran campaign may have even engaged in blatantly illegal behavior of paying black voters to vote for Cochran etc... You can read more about that at: www.GotNews.com
The mainstream media isn't going to report on the allegations of wrongdoing, which is probably why you really didn't know about them or Mississippi election law. However, there are plenty of stories here at Free Republic that will give you the details about why what happened in Mississippi was potentially illegal, and why a new Runoff Election may be called as a remedy to the voter irregularities/voter fraud.
